Court of Appeal guidelines

Further information

The Court of Appeal was the authority on sentencing guidelines until the Sentencing Guidelines Council was set up in the wake of the Criminal Justice Act 2003.

The Court produced many guidelines, often adopting measures put to them in Sentencing Advisory Panel’s advice.
