Sentencing guidelines used to be issued by the Court of Appeal. These guidelines
cover a large variety of topics.
Practice Directions
Practice Directions support relevant court rules and aim to achieve uniformity
in practice. They also set out what the courts expect of those involved in
court practice and what they can expect of the court.
